I was immediately struck by the contrast in this scene. Here was a young White-tailed Deer, full of life and peace, resting quietly among monuments built to remember those who have gone before us. In that moment, life and death seemed to coexist, not in conflict, but in harmony. Rather than sadness, I felt a sense of comfort. The cemetery, a place dedicated to memory and loss, had become a sanctuary for new life. It reminded me that nature has a remarkable way of carrying on, and that perhaps endings and beginnings are not opposites, but part of the same story. My hope is that this image encourages viewers to reflect on the beauty found in life's cycles. To me, it is a quiet reminder that while we all eventually return to the earth, life itself continues, renewing and revealing itself in unexpected and beautiful ways.
