Spring Songs

There are few things that say spring to me quite like the songs of sparrows and the explosion of colour that arrives with blooming redbuds. On this day, the two came together in perfectly. Perched among a sea of pink blossoms, this Song Sparrow paused long enough to remind me that some of nature's greatest moments are not grand, but wonderfully simple. I can hear the cheerful melodies that accompany mornings like this. They are sounds and scenes I look forward to every year, signals that winter has loosened its grip and life is beginning anew. My hope is that this image conveys some of that joy and optimism. To me, it is a celebration of spring itself, and a reminder to slow down and appreciate the beauty and music that surrounds us each day.
