Male Anna's Hummingbird

I have been trying to get a good photograph of a hummingbird for a number of years, but they're difficult to capture if you don't use feeders or patio plants to attract them, which I'm not prepared to do for photography. On this day, I was out for a walk on the coast and saw this one sitting on a tall reed in the salt marsh. I watched him for a short while to see his movements and managed to capture a few shots like this one. It was pretty early in the morning, so I had the golden sunrise.
