Roots In the Wild Water

After 20 years, my family and I relocated to Vancouver Island. We were looking to put down our own roots. This summer we strove to visit as many sights here as we could. We had amazing trips including Canada’s highest waterfalls, and the Juan de Fuca trail. One morning I captured this shot of the sunrise at Sombrio beach. We discovered the beauty in the forests, beaches and mountains on this Island. Here trees reach high for the sky and their roots run long towards the wild water.
