During the flood this spring, the water was very high covering the shore and we could see some of the grass sticking out. I lied down on the ground to capture Wood ducks and noticed the grass moving close by. It got my attention and here it was, a muskrat enjoying grass roots from under the water. I kept on shooting without moving and it suddenly swam to the shore just beside me giving me the opportunity to capture the drops on the whiskers.
