Getting a photo of a Black Capped Chickadee with a clean background isn’t easy! They like to sit in trees with lots of branches, which can sometimes lead to a messy background. Early one morning, just after sun rise, I was finally rewarded when this gorgeous little one landed on this branch, out in the open. The sun was perfect and he was facing the right way, so I could get a twinkle in his eye, and autumn colors of the trees in the background made the perfect background, really making the chickadee standout nicely. Sometimes the most common birds get overlooked, but there is such beauty in this bird. The softly shaded colors on the sides of his belly are really stunning when you take time to really look at them. Chickadees are sweet birds, seeing them makes me happy.
