Last October, I headed to the Bay near our home on a gorgeous sunny morning to see which shorebirds might be gliding by. The tide was really low and suddenly, I spotted two young River Otters playing behind the sea grass-covered rocks. I stayed at a distance behind a big boulder so as not to scare them away and then, went to sit on another boulder further up the beach to wait after the two youngsters had slipped into the water. The whole family then decided to come on by and one of the mates climbed up onto the little islets close to shore with the two young otters. What an incredible sight! I thank that sweet otter family for letting me take so many photos and I thank my kind brother, Michael, for gifting me with an amazing 300 mm prime lens which helped me capture some of the magic I was lucky to experience!
