I set off for my morning hike on a cold frosty morning. As I was walking along the trail looking for wildlife to photograph.I noticed here and there on old pieces of rotten wood these big beautiful clusters of soft looking white hair. They were incredibly magical like some little forest being had fled in a hurry and snagged his hair on a branch.I did some research on angel hair (ice hair) conditions have to be just right for it to grow very cold and damp.It is some kind of fungous spores, they grow at night and as soon as the sun starts to rise they melt away.I couldn't get a good photo with my dslr so I whipped out my cell and it did a fine job.
