Sailing through the islands and channels of British Columbia's central coast, we knew that the likelihood of seeing Humpback Whales was almost a guarantee. But when a group of about twenty Humpbacks began to cooperatively feed around our sailboat, we knew we had found something special. For hours we watched these whales surfacing, the silence of the day punctuated only by their powerful exhalations.
