Indigenous plants like this Pipsissewa are the subjects of most of my photos. I especially love to capture a situation where the plant displays seemingly human traits. In this case it looks like the flower is preparing itself for a meeting with a blood sucking mosquito. I'm trying to get people to have as much compassion for our native plants as for our wild animals.
