Barred Owl - Predator and Prey

I was observing a Barred Owl in a local park, when a chipmunk came out to me looking for peanuts. I had none. When the chipmunk took off the owl I was observing came down out of the tree right in front of me and I captured the whole sequence! The sad thing about this is this owl 2 weeks later was himself prey for a larger Great Horned Owl !! It's a big circle of life and death for predator and prey!
