In abandoned industrial locations such as this abandoned steel mill, there is rarely any evidence of people having worked there. The lockers are usually empty and all personal belongings have been removed. At this steel mill it was different, there was a deep human element to the facility and evidence of the workers could be found in many places. I found the locker rooms to have the most ghostly and eerie vibes. Lockers still had coats and belongings, hard hats scattered about os still inside lockers but what seemed to surprise me the most were the work boots. Dozens of pairs of old and tattered work boots still in the locker room, left on the last day of production. What made this even more interesting to me was knowing that there are currently numerous class action law suits for former workers to receive compensation for both asbestos & radiation related diseases.
