I went to Harrison Mills for the first time this winter to try to photograph eagles. It's home to the world’s largest gathering of eagles. Websites estimate between 2,000 to 10,000 bald eagles during the winter salmon spawning season. This eagle took off with some salmon meat in its mouth and mid-flight decided to do some fancy moves. All the photographers there were snapping away as fast as we could, even though we didn't know what the eagle was doing. It turns out the eagle was moving the salmon from its mouth to its talons mid-flight. It was amazing to watch, especially for me since I learnt something new and interesting that day.
