Black-capped chickadee (Poecile atricapillus). I photographed this bird at the Refuge faunique Marguerite-d’Youville, in Châteauguay, Québec. I really like photographing chickadees because they are cute and friendly, and easy to approach. I chose this image because I like the black and white, with the soft gray and reddish-brown. I like how the black head of the bird stands out, and how the small spot of light reddish-brown on the side of the bird is also present in the background and on the branch.
