Strike a Pose

I had been walking in Algonquin for three days and seen no wildlife. It was pouring rain and suddenly up ahead I spotted this beautiful Spruce Grouse come out of the forest. As I walked up he slowly headed back into the forest, out from the rain. He stopped to look back at me, probably thinking I was a silly human to be standing out in the rain getting soaked. I thanked him for this beautiful pose and then he continued deeper into the underbrush. That’s when I decided to do as he did and I too went and got out of the rain and warmed up with a hot tea.
