In British Columbia's coastal estuaries June sedges grow faster then the Grizzlies can graze and tall enough to hide a full grown bear! This intertidal plant is a vital source of protein after hibernating all winter. This mother bear focus her attention to her surroundings to make sure she and her three cubs, who are hidden in the sedges, are safe to continue feeding at the river's edge in the Great Bear Rainforest.
